Crater Rim Trail & Logger's Lake
Logger's Lake is located in Whistler's Interpretive Forest. The lake is in a crater from a long extinct volcano and soaks up sun from the dark boulders all around it, making it much warmer than Whistler's other glacier-fed lakes.
To reach the trail, head south from Whistler on Highway 99 and turn left at the Function Junction intersection onto Cheakamus Lake Road. In about 400 metres, turn left onto a gravel road. When the road forks, take the right fork and follow the signs for Logger's Lake from here to the parking area. The trail to Logger's Lake is well marked with a sign and map. Choose from the direct route to the shores of the lake or the Crater Rim Trail which takes hikers up to the scenic ridge above the lake.
