Winter

Whistler Olympic Park is an outdoor recreation destination and world-class Nordic sports training & competition site, located in the beautiful Callaghan Valley, just south of Whistler.

In the winter, create memories with family & friends through cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and biathlon. Find yourself in the Park’s spectacular landscape, discover its Olympic legacy and learn about the athletes’ stories of glory and gold. Take a lesson, or introduce your child to Nordic ski disciplines such as cross-country, biathlon or even ski jumping in one of the youth lessons and camps. The fully-licensed Day Lodge café provides plenty of delicious dine-in or to-go options that everyone will be sure to enjoy.

Whistler Olympic Park is a non-profit organization, and all proceeds from our recreational offerings and ticket/pass sales go directly towards growing sport and supporting Nordic athletes.

Snowshoeing

A wonderful introduction to winter, snowshoeing is a refreshing, low-impact activity that harnesses the skill of walking – so everybody from toddler to senior can do it! Whistler Olympic Park provides access to more than 30 kilometres of marked trails (over 15 kilometres of which are dog-friendly). Tread upon the winter snowpack, weaving between beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and Olympic monuments.

Book a Private Snowshoe Tour and let our guides take you through the park, or pick up a map and go on a self-guided walk!

Nordic Skiing

With access to almost 90 km of trails groomed for both classic and skate skiing — over 40 km of which are dog-friendly — there’s no shortage of cross-country exploration at Whistler Olympic Park. Whatever your ability, our scenic and legendary trails accommodate all levels of ambitions and enthusiasm.

Develop your technique in a lesson with one of our friendly instructors. Our full-service Day Lodge offers rentals, too - even Chariots for toddlers not quite ready to don their own skis.

Summer

Whistler Olympic Park has a history of glory and gold. One-third of all medals at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games were awarded at the venue. Today, it remains an active centre for world-class competitors while preserving the winter legacy for the enjoyment of the Sea to Sky community and visitors. Summer activities also provide exciting recreational opportunities for adults and children alike.

Three designated hiking routes with various difficulty levels are available, ranging from an easy walk on pavement along interpretive signage, a longer but beginner friendly hike to breathtaking valley viewpoints, and the summer signature hiking challenge, the “Ski Jump Scramble” that leads hikers to the very top of the Olympic ski jumps. Hiking is free with the park entry fee.

The Biathlon Experience is a unique hands-on introduction to the winter sport, which lets guests take aim and shoot a 22-calibre rifle at the Olympic shooting range and learn about the sport and athletes. Pre-booking is required.

A 9-hole disc golf course is available near the activity base at the biathlon range. Playing the course is free with the park entry fee, guest can bring their own discs or rent a set at the activity base
