Mountain Skills Academy also offer multi-day specialized Avalanche Skills Training Courses. Backcountry skiers and riders can take the two day AST 1 course to learn what gear they will need and how to use it, how to read the terrain and conditions, and how to rescue a buried companion. Mountain Skills Academy also offers a unique AST 1 course for the general public including snowshoers, crosscountry skiers, ice climbers and hikers.
If you're ready to take your backcountry confidence to the next level, the AST 2 course is a cutting edge approach to managing and mitigating avalanche and mountain hazards.
