Backcountry Skiing

Many of Whistler-Blackcomb’s most famous runs are just out of reach of the general public, and require the avalanche knowledge and backcountry skills of a seasoned vet to embark on the short hike to and them. Our ACMG guides share their backcountry knowledge on the walk in, and their steeps techniques on the ski down.

Private and small group tours available.

Tours available from Christmas to Easter.

Steep Ski Clinics

If you're looking for the inside track on the best that Whistler Blackcomb has to offer, then you have to join an Extremely Canadian Steep Skiing clinic. This is not your average clinic, and these are not the average ski pros. Hand picked for their extensive knowledge of Whistler and Blackcomb's best "off piste" terrain, Extremely Canadian's coaches will guide you through some of North America's wildest in-bounds terrain. The clinics are geared to advanced-intermediate to expert skiers. With an average group size of 3 and maximum of 6 people per coach, you're sure to bag all the vertical your legs can handle, and maybe just a little bit more.

Private Steeps Clinics for skiers and snowboarders available for up to 6 in a group.

Available from mid-December to mid-April.
