Stawamus Chief Provincial Park

Stawamus Chief Provincial Park protects the 700 metre massive granite cliffs that stand at the southern entrance to Squamish on the scenic Sea to Sky Highway.

While the Chief is known for climbing, there are many recreational opportunities within the park. The very popular trail leading to the 3 peaks of the Stawamus Chief offers a great workout followed by incredible views of Howe Sound and Squamish. There is also a day-use picnic area that provides a great spot to watch climbers or Peregrine Falcons from.

To reach Stawamus Chief Provincial Park from Squamish, drive two kilometers south on Highway 99 and watch for signs on you left.
