The Squamish Historical Society

The Squamish Historical Society was founded in 2006 to collect, preserve, document and showcase the history of Squamish and the surrounding areas of the Howe Sound. The Society operates the Squamish Museum at the West Coast Railway Heritage Park's mini-rail journey. The building was originally a railway tool shed behind the CN Station in Vancouver. After being moved to the Railway Park, it served at the park's first gift shop before being donated to the Squamish Historical Society in 2009.
